If you’re looking to create a uniquely beautiful ambiance for your custom home, Eastmark Construction’s team has the experience necessary for the task. In this blog we will highlight some of the more interesting aspects of the Spider Lake home we recently completed, demonstrating that even the most utilitarian feature can be made into a striking visual focal point with the right materials and craftsmanship.
The owners of this home were inspired to use reclaimed materials to give their brand new home an old-world ambiance and feel. With the right pieces and design choices, we were able to create together a home that feels like it was meant to be in this location and has been there already for years. Here are some examples of ideas that they brought to us that we were able to make into reality with craftsmanship and work.
Common Areas
The lower level bar has a stainless steel counter along with a wood ceiling and a floor that combines sleek, dark basalt pavers with rustic reclaimed beams for a striking look.
The kitchen has a separate pantry/prep area as well as a front-facing LaCanche range with a pot-filler and another prep sink. This setup allows the cook to work while staying involved in any activity that is happening with friends and family.
Bathrooms and Wash Areas
The vanity in the master bathroom was designed to act as a frame for the beautiful lake view outside.
The wall treatment is pool plaster. We used repurposed furniture to match the wood floors and give this room a rustic, cozy feel.
The guest bathroom combines a marble sink mounted on a wooden table with a vintage copper bathtub for a rich visual and tactile experience.
We nestled this outdoor shower between the wings of the house so family and guests can conveniently wash off the dirt from the beach before entering the beach bathroom.
This bathroom is dedicated for the use of guests coming in from outdoors. It features the beauty of teak and glossy subway tile with penny tile on the floor and a generous antique sink for a stunning white-on-white-on-white look that accommodates several guests at once.
The vintage utility sink in the mudroom combines form and function and contrasts nicely with the reclaimed brick floor. Guests’ boots and shoes are welcome!
Craftsmanship and Comfort
A vital part of a custom home build is the time and effort it takes to make it a personalized family home. Eastmark Construction builds impeccably crafted homes that reflect the taste and lifestyles of their owners without compromising comfort in any way.
Each of the spaces in this featured home was thoughtfully planned to ensure that every detail makes it cohesive with its casual-but-elegant design theme. The owners wanted a rustic, refined home with no fussiness. Our team was able to accomplish this utilizing craftsmanship with a commitment to quality in every detail.
