Some cottages are built to be rooted in the past with the future in mind.  This is the case of the Garrison Cottage in Glen Arbor, MI.  When Eastmark Construction was approached to build this home on Glen Lake, the idea was to build a home that would raise a family and ultimately be an heirloom to future generations.  These clients wanted a Northern Michigan retreat that would accommodate all of life’s phases.  

Thoughtful design and beautiful craftsmanship are displayed in all elements of the home inside and out.  This home has a distinct cottage feel on the interior with the decorating and the execution of the interior trim details.   Outside, the home is a classic…with shake siding and a gambrel wood shake roof.  Collaboration and communication between the Architect, Builder, Designer, and Owner was the key to the success of this project.
