The joy of lakeside living never gets old and when all the amenities of a city are close by, it’s as good as it gets.  But, as with all lake homes, restrictions and terrain can present obstacles and this home was no exception.  The lot was a challenging one for building, but aesthetically it has it all:  views of the lake, airy glimpses through the trees, and access to water.

The exterior of this home was designed to feel like a timeless cottage with a Nantucket-meets-Michigan lake house look and feel.  The design team nailed it with East Coast inspired trim details, natural cedar shakes, and a subtle color scheme that compliments its surroundings.  This home shows how a skilled and cohesive approach to design and construction can overcome the greatest challenges.
