August 1, 2010 – Cedar Bay Cottage. May, 2010 – Fisk Lake Home. The design phase begins for a new home on Fisk Lake in East Grand Rapids, MI. Architect Robert Sears of Robert Sears Architects has begun preliminary site evaluations for a new residence to be built by Eastmark Construction commencing in early 2011.

April 2009 – Eastmark Construction feature article in Lakeland Boating Magazine. Eastmark Construction is recognized as a leader in lakefront home and cottage construction.

January 2009 – Eastmark Construction President Eric Darooge elected Vice President of the Little Traverse Association of Home Builders. Eric has served on the Board of Directors since 2005 and has also held the position of Treasurer. The LTAHB promotes excellence in the building construction industry and is active in a wide array of community pursuits. The LTAHB has one of the strongest memberships in Michigan. December 2008 – Hobbs House, a 6000 sq.ft. home on Lake Charlevoix is completed on time and under budget. Spectacular Fredrick Crosley Ball designed home on the shores of Lake Charlevoix. Inspired by the architectural cottage styles of Nantucket, Martha’s Vinyard, and the Hampton’s, this home features cedar shake siding, taper-sawn red cedar roofing, and New York blue stone on the entry and spacious veranda. Inside you will find custom appointments throughout, rich walnut flooring, and spectacular views.

June 2008 – Eastmark Construction gains national recognition as a Certified Green Builder by the National Association of Homebuilders. Green Building is fast becoming the consumer’s choice in home construction as energy costs and environmental issues come to the forefront. Green Building techniques take into account such things as Lot Design, Energy Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Global Impact on the design and implementation of residential construction projects.
